Fusing modern realism with folk myth this powerfully gritty first feature by independent filmmakers Alexandre Franchi and Mark A. Krupa offers an astonishing twist on the medieval/fantasy genre. Highly acclaimed, this fable noir has won a host of accolades and international awards, including Best Canadian First Feature Film at Toronto International Film Festival and the Audience Award for Best Narrative Feature at the Slamdance Film Festival.

Clinging to the imagined glory of his Icelandic ancestry, Bjorn immerses himself as a LARPer in medieval re-enactment games. His brother Erik hates this escapist fantasy world but when he discovers that his girlfriend has not only become involved with but seduced by Murtagh, the charismatic clan leader, he follows her into the game.

Lost in a fantasy land of arcane rules, plastic-eared elves and beer-guzzling knights, Erik must now rely on his brother for guidance. Passions flare and rules are broken as their mission angers a jealous Murtagh - reality and fantasy start to collide as the good-hearted game degenerates into a tragedy of mythic proportions...
