FAQ

Releases

Is ………………..being released?

  • Network have a number of titles currently under license but are only able to disclose titles which have been cleared of rights issues.
  • When titles are cleared for release they will be added to the website.
  • Unfortunately we cannot comment on any other titles that may or may not be in the pipeline incase it jeopardises rights negotiations on those titles.

Overseas purchases

Is………………..available to buy in America/Australia?

Network titles are Region 2/PAL and are for retail within the UK only. Some mail order suppliers will sell these titles worldwide, which is perfectly legal, but they will still be the Region 2/PAL versions so any purchasers should be certain that these discs will play on their setup before ordering. We cannot comment on any different versions which may or may not be appearing in different territories as they are not part of our licensing agreement and are not our product.

Foreign currency

How much is it in US Dollars?

As you will know the conversion rate from pounds sterling to any foreign currency will fluctuate on a daily basis. Your purchase will be deducted at the current rate of exchange via Worldpay and your credit card provider. There are a number of currency conversion sites on the internet that can give you a good estimate of how much you can expect to pay in your currency.

Overseas shipping

How much will it cost for my parcel to be shipped to US/Canada?

Shipping costs depend on the weight of the title selected and they are shipped out via Royal Mail. Cost of shipping will be outlined when you purchase your titles as it is only at that point that the combined weight of your order will be known.

DVD formats

What is the difference between NTSC and PAL?

These are two different types of television signal – typically NTSC is American and PAL is UK. Your television/DVD set up may or may not play both standards – please refer to your user manuals for clarification of this.

Phone/Post orders

Can I order over the phone or by post?

Alternative purchasing methods are currently being looked into, though many customers have used our secure online ordering method successfully and safely over the past few years.

Subtitles

Why do a number of Network releases not have subtitles?

As you may be aware, Network DVD specialises in niche archive television titles (amongst other genres) and the sales of these titles can be very low when compared to releases of new movies and current television series. We very much wish, however, to reach as wide an audience as we can in the most convenient way to them and are looking into the inclusion of subtitles for some of our future releases.

Payment methods

I do not have a credit or debit card – are there other ways to pay?

We will always recommend payment through the website where possible, this is a safe and secure process and we are always happy to advise on any concerns you may have. Cheques ARE accepted but, as we receive so few of these, they will inevitably fall outside the automated process and delays will occur. As soon as the cheque has been received and payment has cleared, the orders will be processed.

To pay by cheque please state which titles you want to order, along with your name, address and telephone number and post it to:

Network Distributing Ltd (Cheques)

Unit 19-20, Berghem Mews

Blythe Road

London

W14 0HN

Cheques are to be made payable to Network Distributing Ltd.

Please remember to add £3.60 postage for larger orders (over ten discs as a general rule). It is recommended that you get in touch with us first at shop@networkonair.com to advise us that a cheque is being sent, so that we can advise you on postage and let you know when the cheque has arrived with us safely.

Please be aware that we strongly advise against sending postal orders. Network accepts no responsibility for postal orders that are lost in transit and any postal orders sent are done so at the customer’s own risk.

All cheques must be in pounds sterling from a UK bank – we cannot accept foreign currency or non-UK bank cheques.

Rentals

Why aren’t Network DVDs available for rental?

Network does not currently make any of its titles available for rental, either from ourselves or from third-party companies. Rental, however, may be something we can offer in the future.

I want to order something from you and I’m a non-UK resident. Please can you mark the package up as a gift so I do not pay import duty?

Please note that we have a standard process that we are obliged to follow by law with regard to Customs and Excise payments and we are not allowed to mark up overseas purchases as gifts.
