    Uncanny (The)

Agitated author Wilbur Gray (Peter Cushing - Dracula, The Revenge of Frankenstein, Star Wars), tries to convince his sceptical publisher Frank Richards (Ray Milland – The Lost Weekend) that his book of macabre cat stories must be published. Gray believes that the book provides unmistakable evidence that cats are absolute evil and he tries to prove his argument with the three stories from his book, all the while being watched keenly by Richards’ Persian cat...

The Uncanny is a blood-curdling collection of horror short stories produced by Milton Subotsky, the producer of The House that Dripped Blood, Tales from The Crypt and Asylum, with cinematography from Harry Waxman (The Wicker Man, Brighton Rock). This cult horror film from 1977 not only features memorable performances from both Cushing and Milland, but this eerie tale of feline fatality also includes memorable support from co-stars including Joan Greenwood (The Importance of Being Earnest), Susan Penhaligon (Bouquet of Barbed Wire) and Donald Pleasence (Death Line).

Special Features: an archive interview from 1973 with Peter Cushing and some news footage of his 80th birthday party.
