Simon and Laura
Simon Foster (Peter Finch – Network, Kidnapped) and Laura Foster (Kay Kendall – The Reluctant Debutante, Les Girls) are the couple with the seemingly-perfect life – until the camera stops rolling…
When a television producer hits on the idea for a new programme – an hour-long show running five-days a week charting the trials and tribulations of a famous married couple it appears he’s hit upon a winning idea. Simon and Laura fit the bill with their outwardly perfect life, but behind closed doors it’s a different story as they constantly bicker, argue and throw things at each other. Will they be able to keep up the façade for the viewing millions…?
Directed by Oscar-winner Muriel Box (The Seventh Veil, To Dorothy a Son) and co-starring comedy stalwarts Ian Carmichael (I’m All Right Jack, The Royal), Richard Wattiss (Sykes, Danger Man) and Muriel Pavlow (Doctor at Large, Malta Story) SIMON AND LAURA is a charming 1950s comedy, and will appeal to fans of classic feature films and gentle comedies.
