Everyone’s favourite Essex girls return in this seventh series of Birds of a Feather – one of the 1990s’ most successful, long-running and memorable sitcoms. This release comprises all ten episodes of Series Seven together with The Chigwell Years, a retrospective special screened in March 1996 featuring clips from previous shows.
Created by legendary screenwriters Laurence Marks and Maurice Gran (The New Statesman, Shine on Harvey Moon), the series chronicles the misadventures of Sharon and Tracey (Pauline Quirke and Linda Robson) – North London-born sisters left to fend for themselves, both fi nancially and emotionally, when their husbands are jailed for armed robbery.
Having lived together for years in the neo-Georgian splendour of ‘Dalentrace’ – the luxury Chigwell home paid for by husband Darryl’s criminal activities – things are set to change drastically for the girls with the impending release of their husbands from prison. Unfortunately for Darryl and Chris, liberty doesn’t last for long, and this shift in their fortunes brings fresh problems for Sharon and Tracey. Forced to leave Dalentrace, they downsize to the less glamorous Ongar and look for work. But some things remain constant – not least the antics of their oversexed former neighbour Dorien...
